Book an author visit...
I love visiting schools, preschools, community groups and book events to give readings and talks; and, from all reports, audiences get a kick out of it too!
The format of author visits can be tailored to your school or event's needs, but one thing that stays the same is my approach: easygoing, fun and engaging for audiences young and old.
From a simple book reading of Leonard and Lilah the Lyrebird to discussing my inspiration for writing the books, navigating the publishing process or creative writing activities – I can make it work for your audience.

"My feedback from today was that you are an amazing presenter with such beautiful books! The children I observed in Stages 2 and 3 were SO engaged in your book and your explanations. Your timing was perfect and the content was perfect also. Your manner with the children was engaging and considerate. We really enjoyed your presentation. Thank you!"
"Kids of all ages gained such a fabulous insight into what it takes to write and publish a book! Jodie presented in such a way that students came away feeling inspired to turn their own experiences into beautiful stories."
"I'm Pre-K teacher at Penrith Anglican College and was at your visit/presentation today. Thank you for coming. The kids really enjoyed it! We went back and looked up more info and videos of lyrebirds and the children did lovely drawings which we will paint tomorrow. I also wanted to say I absolutely loved your book. Such a beautiful story. And the pictures... oh my!"
